The Presentation Zen book features a story about how a young man wanted to name his newly opened fish store. You can also find the story on the presentationzen blog. I like this story because it exemplifies nicely the "Omit needless words" principle from The Elements of Style.
I like it so much that I created a set of slides based on it.
p.s. Does any of you know similar stories? I remember reading a similar story about a hat store in England, but I cannot find it anymore.
