Demo-driven innovation at Jazoon 2012 (material)

The other week I had the pleasure of talking about demo-driven innovation at Jazoon 2012.

My story had five parts:

  • The main enemies are your own assumptions. Challenge them.
  • Design your approach, don’t just settle for half-baked solutions.
  • Demo your design, even when it seems hard to implement.
  • Listen, especially when you do not agree.
  • Enable new things to happen.

You can see the material I used below.

People got particularly excited about the hidden assumption part. Marc, one of the attendees, went as far as to say that he will start challenging and asking why-questions all the time at work.

When exposed, what seemed unquestionable becomes accessible.
